Yesterday evening brought me the news that the only way our loan will be accepted is if steel beams were put into the basement. What a way to end my birthday.
Today I am feeling much better for several reasons.
1. Ice cream. Reed made a special trip to the store just for ice cream for me. In part because it was my birthday and in part because I was unhappy.
2. So many people were very positive and gave me encouragement and sent me happy thoughts. I LOVE knowing so many good people!
3. Kaelyn even obliged me and gave me a good nights' sleep. Which I normally get but last night was even better. She slept from 9:30 - 5:30 - 6:30 - 9:30. I tried waking her at 4 am to eat but she refused. So I pumped instead (hand expressed, really, since my pump is packed).
4. I set Plan B in motion so that we could get going if this hosue falls through. And I liked a few of the houses that I saw pictures of.

Maybe?
Our house should close next week!!!!! With only some minor setbacks...
Setback 1: The underwriter requested a structural inspection.
Setback 2: The inspector didn't stamp and sign the report and so had to resubmit it.
Setback 3: The bank didn't like the inspector's wording and so he had to resubmit it.
